NBA 3X

Event Overview The NBA 3X Philippines 2012 Presented by Sprite returns to the Philippines for the second year. Basketball fanatics are in for a treat as boys and girls of all skill levels, with an open division for men and women, will be able to participate and vie for top honors and bragging rights. The event will be based on the FIBA 3×3 format and rules, and provide participants and fans the total NBA experience with entertainment and unique interactive elements.

Adding to this year’s event, NBA 3X will feature try-outs for the Sprite Uncontainable Game. Two Philippine finalists will be selected to be part of the global pool from which 2012 NBA Champion and MVP Lebron James and NBA Superstar Kobe Bryant will chose their teams, Team Sudden and Team Intense respectively. The Sprite Uncontainable Game, the brand’s largest ever basketball program, teams up with six NBA players to discover 24 of the most creative, undiscovered amateur ballers from around the world to represent either Team Sudden or Team Intense in the Sprite Uncontainable Game at the NBA All-Star 2013 in Houston, Texas. If picked to be part of either team, finalists will get a trip to the 2013 NBA All Star Game.

Date: August 17 – 19, 2012

Venue: SM Mall of Asia Music Hall and the SM by the Bay SM Central Business Park I, Island A, Bay City, Pasay City 1300 Philippines

Divisions Each team consists of four members and participants can sign up for one of the following:

  • 10 – 12 years old (boys division)
  • 13 – 15 years old (boys division)
  • 16 – 18 years old (boys division)
  • Open Division (19 years old or above – men’s division)
  • 13 – 17 years old (girls division) 18 years old or above (women’s division)
  • Registration Team registration fees are payable by cash only and as follows:
  • Age divisions – 800 Pesos per team
  • Open division – 1,200 Pesos per team
  • VIP division – By Invitation Only

Registration Form and details are available via the NBA 3X Philippines 2012 Presented by Sprite event website. Registration is done online with payment made in person at any of the listed registration booths (see attached appendix for registration locations). Registration Deadline Registration begins on July 14 on a first-come first-serve basis and runs till August 9.
